All About DueyMusic

I began my professional music career in 1992 while living in Boulder, Colorado. in 1997, I recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, with Oliverius Music Group overseeing the production of an EP deemed suitable for pitching to a record label.

It was now time to go on the road. Breaking into the world-famous Grizzly Rose was the next steppingstone in my journey, playing weekly and opening for many national acts such as Toby Keith, Rascal Flats, Taylor Swift, Leanne Rimes, Chris LeDoux, and Luke Bryan among others. The Grizzly Rose holds a dear spot in my heart for all that it and it's three different owners Ken Mueller, Bill Repola, Scott Durland and agent extraordinaire  John Tabor have done for me personally and for my music career. I will always be in debt to those four men. One of the next highlights on my journey was performing for seven consecutive years at the Hitching Post during Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I had the honor during the rodeo in Cheyenne of singing the National Anthem - with Woodie Procell and Kyle Yates on the tenth anniversary of the tragic death of bull rider Lane Frost. Lanes parents were in attendance and watching from the stands, what an afternoon!

I then moved to Las Vegas and began a two-year residency with my band Rough Stock at Gilley's on the strip. Performing five nights a week for two years was grueling, but the payoff was always December when National Finals Rodeo came to town and I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with my friends Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy, Toby Keith, Daryle Singletary, Blake Shelton, and also Trey Cool from Green Day.

After my residency in Las Vegas, I moved back to Denver and started a band with Steve Mudflap McGrew, Bill Repola, Ken Willson, Rod Buckio, Mark Ferris, and Kenny Mace, called Flap-N-Jacks. We played such venues as Red Rocks (opening for Sugarland and Pat Greene), Fiddlers Green, Twice, (Kenny Rogers, Brad Paisley, and Eric Church), Budweiser Event Center (Kenny Rogers), and the Colorado State Fair Arena with Sugarland and Darius Rucker.

In the wake of all these years, I decided to take some time off to raise my children.

Six years later I am back and enjoying the music industry once again, Introducing Duey Weibel as a solo artist and Duey & Unbroken. Kenny Wilson on drums, Brad  Sumpter vocals and Lead Guitar, Ariel Tsukuba Yamada on Bass Guitar, Duey on acoustic guitar and lead vocals.
